Saddleback College plays 3C2A (California JUCO) baseball in the Orange Empire. Its roster (as listed May 2026) has 10 players. The head coach is Sommer McCartney. Here's what the roster, recruiting history and academics look like — and when the coaching staff can contact you.

When can Saddleback College coaches contact you?

3C2A In California? JUCO means the 3C2A (formerly the CCCAA). California's community colleges compete in the 3C2A (renamed from the CCCAA in 2023), not the NJCAA — about 88 baseball and 73 men's soccer programs. The big difference: 3C2A colleges cannot offer athletic scholarships of any kind. California residents pay $46 per unit (often $0 with a Promise Grant waiver); out-of-state students pay district-set nonresident tuition, often $400+ per unit. If you live outside California, 3C2A coaches can call, text, and email you but generally cannot meet you at your games or tournaments, so reach out first and plan a campus visit. There's no binding commitment (the Form C-1 signing form is celebratory), athletes can earn NIL money, and you get two seasons, with 12 units a term.
